The happiness of your life depends on how much time you have spent in resistance (or not). The more often you’ve wanted shit to end, time to go faster, or your partner to shut up, the more often you’ve been resisting what is.
If a bad employer buys your time, it’s your bad time. If you have a bad relationship, it’s your bad time. If you do something you don’t want, it’s your time. The time at work, with friends, travelling. All your time. Every project you take on, every favor you do, no matter what you do, you always pay. With your lifetime.
Wherever you are, whatever you do, you are here. You can change something about it, but until then, you are here. How much do you really want to be here? And while you’re here: How can you make it exciting and enriching for yourself not to live in resistance?
The unpleasant situation? You bought it. The fucking job? Too. The bad relationship? Yes please. You are responsible for your experience in each of these times because they are yours. All time is your time. Spend it in an attitude as if you paid for it.
